Our Programs
Woods Montessori School offers to children and families the highest-fidelity version Montessori education. Our classrooms are fully stocked with the entire complement of state-of-the-art Montessori materials and exercises. Our team of educators, from the most senior to the most junior, share a professional dedication to this fulfilling work. Our “Guides” (teachers) take pride in continual training and professional development to refine and perfect their craft.
Today’s generation of parents increasingly understand the critical role that early childhood education plays in the development of independence and the formation of character, persistence, and executive functioning. Unlike a play-all-day traditional daycare, we’re here to optimize each moment of your child’s experience at school. We work to maximize learning and development in each moment of the day. The incredible Montessori methodology gives us the tools to protect and to preserve the natural joy that young children bring to learning and challenges, and keep that spark from being extinguished.
We are a comprehensive educational partner for parents seeking ambitious, highly intentional, sequential learning environments that will help their children grow into their best selves.
Part of our mission is to make world-class Montessori education accessible to modern, working families. For this reason, we operate 12 months a year, and offer extended hours before and after the school day (included in base tuition).

Nido (Infant) Program
Our Nido environments offer our youngest children the opportunity to benefit from nurturing, supportive, structured environments. You’ll see lots of freedom of movement to allow for maximal healthy development, and sequenced developmental aids targeted to each new moment in a young child’s growth.
Ages served: birth to 15 months.
Program schedules: 3-day and 5-day programs, from 7am to 6pm.
Toddler Program
Our toddler environments develop self-reliance and the maturation of physical and intellectual skills.
Special emphasis is placed on toilet learning, self-care, and concentrated multi-step activities. You’ll be surprised at how much concentration and focus your child is able to build when offered the right type of materials and exercises that tap into their natural developmental motivations.
Ages served: 15 months to 3 yrs
Program schedules: 3-day and 5-day programs, both half-day and full-day.
Extended Day Offerings
Woods Montessori School is designed to work for modern, dual-working families who want the best for their children.
Our core academic day is from 8:30 to 3 PM, and your child will want to make sure to come by 8:30, in order to receive the full benefit of the Montessori “work period” and receive lessons from their Guides.
Our extended day hours allow parents to drop off as early as 7 AM, and pick up as late as 6 PM. During these early morning and late afternoon periods, we offer purposeful gross motor activity to build healthy bodies (including organized games, yoga, and structured play), as well as planned group activities like cooking and art. This programming is included in base tuition—parents do not pay extra for “extended hours daycare” or “before and after school care”.
In addition, we partner with local specialist groups who come to the school to offer unique classes and clubs for our enrolled children (ranging from early sports programs to music and dance). Each semester, families will have an opportunity to enroll their child in the extracurriculars that are offered. This is an extra cost, paid directly to the third party provider.
Children’s House Program
Our Children’s House program serves children during the foundational first and second years of the Montessori preschool experience within a carefully prepared mixed-age environment. During these years, children build independence, concentration, social-emotional awareness, language development, early literacy, foundational math skills, practical life abilities, and sensorial understanding through hands-on learning experiences. The environment is intentionally designed to support confidence, curiosity, and the development of executive functioning skills that prepare children for the Kindergarten Capstone Year.
Ages served: 3 yrs to 6 yrs
Program schedules: 5-day half and full-day programs, from 7am to 6pm
Kindergarten Program Children’s House Capstone Year
The Kindergarten year serves as the capstone experience of the Children’s House cycle and is designed to bring together the skills, knowledge, and independence developed during the first two years of the program. During this final year, students deepen advanced literacy, reading comprehension, writing, mathematical reasoning, cultural studies, scientific exploration, leadership, and executive functioning skills within a high-agency Montessori environment. Kindergarten students also develop confidence, responsibility, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities that prepare them for a strong transition into elementary learning.
Ages served: 5yrs to 6 yrs within the mixed-aged Children’s House environment
Program schedules: 5-day full-day programs, from 7am to 6pm
